Dr Steve Ceccato

Dr Steve Ceccato is a compassionate and gentle dentist who thrives on building genuine, long-lasting relationships with his patients. A proud Brisbane local, he grew up in the area and attended Marist College Ashgrove just down the road.

Steve began his academic journey at QUT, earning a degree in Human Movement Studies. However, it was during this time he discovered his true calling in dentistry. He went on to complete his dental degree at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.

With over 10 years of experience, Dr Steve has worked closely with patients to maintain their oral health and achieve their individual dental goals. He began his career as an officer in the Australian Army, where he developed his clinical and leadership skills. In 2020, he deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan as the sole dentist for 4,000 NATO troops. He culminated his Army career as the Senior Dental Officer at Enoggera Barracks, overseeing a busy 10-chair dental clinic.

In addition to his military service, Steve has spent the past eight years working in private practices across Mitchelton and Byron Bay before joining the Avenues Dental team. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is passionate about providing care with the same dedication and warmth he would offer his own family.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys a busy and vibrant home life with his partner Alison and their blended family of seven children — a modern-day Brady Bunch, just a little bigger and a lot louder! Family is everything to him, and he brings that same sense of care and connection to his work with patients.
